ALPSP - the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers, has announced the launch of a Careers Hub this week

The resource will provide information on a wide selection of topics across scholarly publishing via videos and podcasts. For a limited period, the content will be free to access for all, and then restricted to members only following the initial launch. The hub can be viewed at: https://www.alpsp.org/careers-hub

All information provided is predominantly-knowledge based and aimed at those with up to five years’ experience. This resource is constantly evolving and updated, updates will be made available via TwitterLinkedInFacebook and YouTube).

ALPSP has initially approached its tutors and committee members to provide their expertise to produce videos/podcasts for the hub. For future content, input from a range of experts across scholarly publishing is invited to ensure a widespread and diverse audience is involved in contributing.

Wayne Sime, chief executive of ALPSP, explained: 'Through our member surveys and feedback from training courses, it is clear that there is a real need for easy to access advice on areas of importance in scholarly publishing. We are pleased to be able to offer a library of content to fulfil this need – the hub will be constantly evolving – and expect many more videos and podcasts shortly.'

Key first topics in the Careers Hub include the following:
