Simba Information, which provides analysis of the media and publishing industries, and Education Market Research (EMR), a research firm providing market intelligence on the US K-12 publishing market, have agreed that EMR will merge with Simba’s Education Group.

'The addition of EMR’s content and Bob Resnick’s expertise to Simba’s already formidable portfolio in educational publishing solidifies Simba’s position at the top of this field,' said Robert Granader, CEO of MarketResearch.com, Simba’s parent company. 'We are pleased that we can now offer an even more robust set of content to our clients in this sector.'

Bob Resnick, founder of EMR, has been associated with K-12 education for nearly 30 years. He founded the company, dedicated to K-12 market research publishing and consulting, in 1995.

After the merger, Resnick will continue to design and conduct the EMR surveys and write the reports. Resnick said that, with the merger of EMR and Simba, the two companies would coordinate their research plans to cover the widest range of critical K-12 issues thereby avoiding the duplication of efforts.

'The combined information gathering resources of EMR and Simba will create a powerhouse team able to provide more comprehensive and up-to-date K-12 school market information compared to any other source,' he added.
