At the end of last year, to great fanfare, the Government of India announced the launch of its long-awaited One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) scheme – a $750m initiative aimed at increasing access to research for millions of scholars across the country.
In this webcast, featuring speakers with a deep knowledge of scholarly communications in India, we’ll be discussing what librarians, publishers and researchers need to know about the ground-breaking scheme – as well as the wider ramifications for the country’s scientific community and those in the rest of the Global South.
Anindita joins Vivek Mehra, Founder and CEO, Vikramshila Education; Nidhi Gulati, Country Communications Director, Springer Nature; and Prof Ramesh Gaur, Professor and Dean, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts.
We are also happy to announce that the event is now being supported by Frontiers, as well as the American Psychological Association (APA).
