IGI Global and Columbia University sign OA deal

Columbia University

IGI Global Scientific Publishing has entered into an open access publishing agreement with Columbia University Libraries, expanding publishing support for affiliated researchers.

Under the agreement, Columbia University-affiliated authors will receive a 5% discount on article processing charges (APCs) and chapter processing charges (CPCs) when publishing in IGI Global Scientific Publishing’s Open Access Journal Program. The programme spans nearly 200 journals across business and management, science, technology and medicine (STM), and education/social Sciences.

“This open access agreement reinforces our shared commitment to removing barriers to open access and increasing the visibility and impact of scholarly research,” said Nick Newcomer, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at IGI Global Scientific Publishing.

In addition to institution-specific agreements, IGI Global Scientific Publishing offers a flat-fee open access publishing agreement designed to enable libraries to provide unlimited open access publishing for their researchers under a single, predictable fee.
