IEEE and Enago partner on AI technology for manuscript checking

Enago has entered an agreement with the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) to provide submission screening technology using the Enago Reports platform.
The first phase of the project will leverage the Language Quality Checks within Enago Reports to provide authors with customised guidance on improving the language of their manuscript. Subsequent phases will focus on screening specific compliance checkpoints for individual IEEE journals, providing essential feedback to ensure they meet all publisher and journal requirements. This full functionality is designed to increase submission readiness, leading to faster editorial decisions for authors.
Dawn Melley, Senior Director, Publishing Operations at IEEE, said: “This is a significant step forward for IEEE in our ongoing efforts to support authors who submit to IEEE journals. Author satisfaction is a high priority for IEEE and ensuring that the submission process is easy to navigate and provides value to authors, while also reducing the time it takes for peer review, is a critical factor in author satisfaction.”
Abhigyan Arun, CEO of Enago, added: “IEEE is one of the world’s leading publishers of scientific and technical journals and we take pride in our association to provide pre-submission editing services to their authors, especially from China, Japan and Korea. By using Enago Reports, IEEE leverages Enago’s technology to offer accurate and actionable information to authors to improve their submission journey.”
