AIP Publishing and Jisc have signed a new three-year AIP Fusion agreement designed to expand open access publishing opportunities for researchers across the UK while providing participating institutions with streamlined access to AIP Publishing’s subscription content.

The partners says the agreement covers 29 participating institutions and reflects the organisations’ shared commitment to advancing open research and increasing the visibility and impact of scientific scholarship.

“Jisc has long been a leader in advancing sustainable and equitable models for scholarly communication,” said Kevin Steiner, Head of Global Sales at AIP Publishing. “We are delighted to partner with Jisc through this AIP Fusion agreement, which will help researchers across the United Kingdom increase the reach and impact of their work while supporting a more open and accessible research ecosystem.”

As the UK’s digital and data agency for higher education and research, Jisc negotiates sustainable publishing models and strengthens digital infrastructure on behalf of the sector. Working directly with universities and research organisations, its licensing services aim to expand access to scholarly content, accelerate open research, and help institutions maximise the value of their academic investments.

“We are delighted to expand our partnership with AIP Publishing,” Anna Vernon, Head of Research Licensing at Jisc. “This agreement strengthens support for sustainable pathways to open access publishing and ensures continued access to the high-quality scholarly content researchers rely on.”

The agreement adds to AIP Publishing’s growing portfolio of transformative agreements worldwide, which now covers 384 institutions and consortia across 24 countries. According to the publisher, researchers at participating institutions will benefit from greater opportunities to publish their work openly, supporting increased collaboration and innovation across the physical sciences and related disciplines.
