Taylor & Francis partners with Cambridge Scholars Publishing
Taylor & Francis has announced a new eBook distribution partnership with Cambridge Scholars Publishing, aimed at significantly increasing the global reach of Cambridge Scholars titles through its digital platform.
Founded in 2001 by a group of academics, Cambridge Scholars Publishing is an independent academic publisher specialising in monographs, edited collections and thesis-based works across a wide range of disciplines.
Through the agreement, more than 11,000 Cambridge Scholars eBooks are now available via the Taylor & Francis eBooks platform, accessible through taylorfrancis.com. These titles join the wider Taylor & Francis catalogue, which includes content from the Routledge and CRC Press imprints. In total, the platform hosts more than 222,000 titles and over three million chapters across subject areas.
All Cambridge Scholars eBooks made available through the platform are Digital Rights Management (DRM)-free, enabling users to download and read content across devices without restriction. Users can also access titles via the Taylor & Francis eReader, which offers features such as bookmarks, annotations and advanced search functionality.
As part of the partnership, Cambridge Scholars titles will benefit from Taylor & Francis’s global sales, marketing and technology infrastructure, supporting wider dissemination and discoverability.
Graeme Nicol, CEO at Cambridge Scholars Publishing, said: “We are delighted to partner with Taylor & Francis to extend the reach of our authors’ work to a truly global audience. As an independent academic publisher, our aim has always been to provide a platform for rigorous, original scholarship across disciplines. Making our eBook collection available through the Taylor & Francis platform ensures that libraries and researchers worldwide can access our titles more easily, enhancing visibility, discoverability, and the long-term impact of the research we publish.”
Olivia Railton, Head of Publisher Partnerships at Taylor & Francis, said: “The Cambridge Scholars backlist is impressive, and its schedule of forthcoming books is equally exciting, showcasing the rich diversity of contemporary scholarship. This new distribution partnership will not only enhance the options for organisations using the Taylor & Francis eBooks platform but also amplify the global reach and impact of work by Cambridge Scholars authors.”
