LUP acquires new titles

Liverpool University Press has acquired around 400 backlist and forthcoming titles from Casemate/Oxbow.  The books, published under the Aris & Phillips imprint, are predominantly facing page translations of classics and Hispanic texts with widespread course adoption.

Anthony Cond, managing director of LUP, said: ‘Complementing existing editorial strengths in classics and the modern languages, the acquisition of the Aris and Phillips lists presents a high-quality addition to our print and digital publishing.’

David Farnsworth, president of the Casemate Group, added: ‘We are delighted the Aris & Phillips list will continue to thrive in the more than capable hands of LUP – it is a great new home for it.’

Liverpool University Press assumes publishing responsibilities for the acquired titles with immediate effect. All stock will be available via its distribution channels – Turpin Distribution (UK, Europe and ROW) and Oxford University Press (North America).
