Informa reports continued growth in academic publishing division

Informa has reported solid trading across the opening months of 2026, with its academic publishing business continuing to deliver steady growth.
The company, which owns academic publisher Taylor & Francis, reported underlying revenue growth of 6.4% for the first five months of the year and reiterated its expectation of delivering double-digit growth in adjusted earnings per share for the full year.
Academic publishing remained a key contributor to performance – with Taylor & Francis recording underlying revenue growth of 5.5% during the period. Informa said the division’s growth was driven by continued demand for subscription content, open research products and advanced learning solutions. The business remains on track to achieve approximately 4% revenue growth across the full year.
The results underline the continuing resilience of the academic publishing market, where recurring subscription revenues and growing demand for research and learning content continue to provide stability despite broader economic uncertainty.
Informa’s shares rose following the trading update as investors responded positively to the company’s performance and outlook for the remainder of 2026.
