Indonesian Academy of Sciences launches journal with Taylor & Francis

The Indonesian Academy of Sciences (AIPI) has partnered with Taylor & Francis to launch a multidisciplinary open access journal aimed at fostering collaboration across scientific disciplines and supporting evidence-based policymaking. The Journal of the Indonesian Academy of Sciences will publish all content on an open access basis.
According to the partners, the journal will provide a platform for researchers at all career stages and serve as an authoritative source of original research spanning science, technology, mathematics and the social sciences. The publication aims to encourage knowledge sharing across traditional disciplinary boundaries.
Alongside research and review articles, the journal will include opinion pieces, commentaries and a dedicated policy forum. The publishers say this approach is intended to help bridge the gap between academic research and public policy implementation by making scientific evidence more accessible to policymakers and practitioners.
The journal is now accepting submissions across four multidisciplinary sections:
- Biological and Medical Sciences
- Economics and Social Sciences
- Engineering and Technology
- Physical and Mathematical Sciences
Daniel Murdiyarso, President of the Indonesian Academy of Sciences, said: “AIPI commits to bringing interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary science-based evidence to support open and honest dialogues among stakeholders at all levels. It is very timely to promote home-grown science with unique cases, not only in quantity and breadth, but even more in quality and novelty.”
Katie Peace, Vice President of Academic Partnerships at Taylor & Francis, added: “We are delighted to partner with the Indonesian Academy of Sciences on this important initiative. The Journal of the Indonesian Academy of Sciences embodies our shared commitment to publishing quality research that is open, collaborative and impactful. We look forward to seeing the journal thrive and shining more of a spotlight on world-class research from Indonesian scholars and beyond.”
