Technology provider Ingenta has announced the addition of 16 new publisher clients. A further 16 current clients are extending their publishing partnerships for another three years.

Those publishers who are moving to IngentaConnect from a competitor service cite the platform’s ability to grow their audience and deliver global exposure with its large share of the library market, benefits evidently appreciated by the company’s existing customers. 'More and more of our subscribers expect to be able to access our publications electronically, explains James McRae from The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST). 'In taking our content online for the first time, we sought a ‘gold standard’ provider with a proven, reliable service and competitive terms.'

Several new clients are launching online publications for the first time, indicating the continuing growth of the e-publishing sector and the increasing power of the digital imperative.
