Cashmere and KGL partner on AI content infrastructure

Cashmere, a data infrastructure platform designed to connect premium content with the AI ecosystem, has announced a strategic partnership with KnowledgeWorks Global Ltd. (KGL), the editorial, production and technology services provider.
The collaboration brings together Cashmere’s data infrastructure with KGL’s publisher platform and services, with the aim of helping publishers manage and monetise the use of their content within AI systems.
According to the companies, the partnership will allow KGL’s publishing customers to manage, commercialise, track and implement their content within AI environments while maintaining protection and scalability.
Built on Cashmere’s infrastructure, the integration includes token-level access control, rights management, usage tracking and revenue settlement. The companies say these features are designed to help publishers protect intellectual property while opening new revenue opportunities tied to AI usage.
KGL said the partnership represents a strategic investment in helping publishers understand and manage how their content is used by AI technologies, as well as ensuring they can track and monetise that usage.
“KGL has always been committed to helping publishers navigate change with confidence,” said Atul Goel, President of KGL. “Our partnership with Cashmere directly addresses the pressing challenge of understanding and controlling how our publishers’ content is used in AI, and ensuring they are fairly compensated for it. This is a natural extension of our mission to deliver solutions that future-proof the publishers we serve.”
Cashmere said the collaboration reflects the growing importance of governance, infrastructure and data integration as publishers seek to operate within AI-driven content ecosystems.
“We are at a pivotal moment for publishers that requires not just licensing agreements, but real infrastructure,” said Jonathan Munk, Co-Founder & CEO of Cashmere. “Our partnership with KGL is a reflection of the kind of industry partnerships we’re building to make the managed, governed, commercially viable path for content in AI a reality.”
The announcement follows Cashmere’s recent funding round led by Reach Capital and comes as the company expands its network of industry partnerships. The new integration is available immediately to KGL’s publisher customers.
