Cadmore Media, the  independent streaming service provider for societies and publishers, has announced the formation of an integrated sales and marketing team. These appointments come at a time of significant growth for Cadmore Media, with the aim of driving momentum to further the adoption of streaming audio and video within the community of researchers, academics, practitioners, instructors, and faculty members.

“This is a very important moment for Cadmore. For the past five years, we have been working hard to become the best technology option for societies, publishers and distributors who wish to develop their streaming strategy. With an experienced new team in place for sales and marketing, we are ready to expand our reach and embark on a new growth phase.” - Violaine Iglesias, Cadmore Media CEO and Co-Founder

Cadmore Media is expanding its market reach with the addition of two team members, Adrian Stanley, now working on society and publisher relationships, and David Parker, who will be working on partnerships with independent documentary film distributors.

Adrian Stanley brings more than 25 years of experience in scholarly communications and academic publishing.  He was General Manager for JMIR Publications, an innovative open-access publisher. Adrian also  spent seven years as Managing Director, Publishers, at Digital Science, and 10 years as Charlesworth Group (USA) CEO.

Additionally, Adrian has worked closely with entrepreneurial startups and founders for all of his working career. He has held numerous volunteer committee/chair roles including a Past President for the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP), Chair SSP Funder Taskforce, and an Associate Editor for Learned Publishing.

I have known Cadmore Media, Violaine and Simon since awarding them the prestigious Digital Science Catalyst Grant in 2018, and seeing the important role video plays within scholarly communications - I’m very pleased to be supporting this vibrant forward-thinking team through the next important phase of growth and development,” said Stanley.

David Parker, streaming video expert, is the founder of Business Expert Press, launched in 2008 as an iGroup company. He subsequently launched Academic Video Online for Alexander Street Press in 2013 and in 2021, he founded Lived Places Publishing. He is a frequent contributor to Against the Grain, UKSG Insights, and the Scholarly Kitchen. He is an adviser to the Michigan State University Center for International Business Education and Research and several independent video distribution businesses.

Parker said:I have long believed in the central place of content creators and specialty content distributors in support of the teaching and learning enterprise. In the case of documentary film for education, the role of filmmakers and independent distributors could not be more important. I believe Cadmore Media can make a valuable contribution to the sustainability and growth of documentary film in education by providing a solution for independent distributors to deliver content directly to university libraries. By removing the middle role of aggregators, more of each sale can be returned to filmmakers and the tailored curation efforts of the independent distributors that support documentary film.”

In addition to the expansion of the sales team, Cadmore Media has also increased its marketing resources, offering a wealth of new talent and experience. Elisabeth Leonard joins the marketing team as Consultant, Strategic Marketing,  while Jimmy Pinfield and Abi Crafter have both joined as Marketing Executives.
