Bristol University Press renews partnership with KGL PubFactory

Bristol University Press has renewed its partnership with KGL PubFactory, extending a collaboration that began in 2021.
The renewal reflects what both organisations describe as a strong working relationship and Bristol University Press’s continued confidence in the stability, maturity and innovation of the PubFactory platform.
The publisher has also adopted several advanced capabilities on the PubFactory platform, including emerging AI-based features designed to improve discoverability, workflow efficiency and the reader experience. Among these is an AI-powered article summarisation feature now available on selected titles from Policy Press. The feature provides readers with concise, AI-generated summaries, with editorial review, to help them quickly grasp the key insights of a chapter.
“Working with KGL and the PubFactory platform has given us tremendous confidence in the reliability and future-readiness of our publishing infrastructure,” said Alison Shaw, Chief Executive at Bristol University Press. “As I prepare to retire, it gives me great peace of mind to know that Bristol University Press is in very good hands. Our new executive team can focus fully on growing the business and expanding our impact without needing to worry about the underlying platform or day-to-day technology operations.”
“We are incredibly grateful for the trust Bristol University Press has placed in us,” added José Fossi, VP of Hosting Opertions at KGL. “They have been exceptional partners since joining the platform in 2021 – forward-thinking, collaborative, and deeply committed to responsible publishing. They were among the earliest adopters of several of our AI-based features, and they continue to set a standard in the industry for accessibility. It is a privilege to support their mission.”
