Biochemical Society’s Portland Press joins CHORUS
Portland Press, the publishing arm of the Biochemical Society, has joined CHORUS in a new partnership aimed at strengthening trusted research infrastructure through collaboration, open standards and shared services.
As an independent society publisher, Portland Press publishes journals and books in the molecular biosciences. Its membership of CHORUS brings it into an international network of publishers, funders, institutions and service providers working together to improve research discoverability, interoperability, compliance and the long-term stewardship of the scholarly record.
The partners say the arrangement reflects a shared focus on improving the quality and use of research metadata, while reducing administrative burden through existing standards and workflows. CHORUS supports organisations in meeting evolving public access requirements and research policies by connecting publications with funders, institutions and other research outputs.
