AIP Publishing joins OA Switchboard

AIP Publishing has joined OA Switchboard, a shared community infrastructure that enables standardised exchange of open access publication metadata between publishers, institutions, and funders.
Through this participation, AIP Publishing will provide publication metadata via OA Switchboard, including author affiliation, funder information, and licensing.
“Participating in OA Switchboard supports our commitment to transparent and consistent communication with our institutional and funding partners,” said Sara Rouhi, Open Science Director at AIP Publishing. “Standardised metadata exchange reduces administrative burden and strengthens the reliability of open access reporting across our agreements.”
AIP Publishing’s integration will support institutions participating in its open access models, including AIP Fusion, the organisation’s services-based, single-fee model that provides unlimited reading and unlimited APC-free publishing, by enabling standardised delivery of publication data to track covered publishing activity.
“We are pleased to welcome AIP Publishing to the OA Switchboard network,” said Yvonne Campfens, Executive Director, OA Switchboard. “By sharing standardised publication metadata through the Switchboard, AIP Publishing is helping advance a more connected and transparent open access ecosystem that benefits publishers, institutions, and funders.”
According to the publisher, the integration is intended to improve reporting efficiency and transparency across its institutional agreements by automating and standardising the delivery of publication data.
