Bioscientifica has announced a partnership with GetFTR (Get Full Text Research) aimed at improving access to its journal content through the platforms and tools researchers use to discover scholarly literature.

The not-for-profit publisher, which is owned by the Society for Endocrinology, works with learned societies and the wider scientific community to publish research across endocrinology and related biomedical disciplines. Its journal portfolio includes Journal of Endocrinology, Endocrine-Related Cancer and Endocrine Connections.

The partnership will enable researchers to identify and access Bioscientifica’s full-text content through a growing network of research and discovery platforms, including Scopus, Scite, Web of Science and CABI Digital Library, as well as through GetFTR’s free browser extension.

Through GetFTR, researchers will see full-text availability indicators and links directing them to the authoritative version of record. These indicators identify whether content is accessible through an institutional subscription, open access or free-to-read arrangements, helping users navigate more easily from discovery to the full text.

The initiative reflects the growing importance of connecting scholarly content across multiple discovery environments, as researchers increasingly rely on a variety of platforms to find and evaluate published research.

Daniel Keirs, Director of Publishing & Scientific Affairs at Bioscientifica, said: “As a society publisher, we’re committed to ensuring that the research we publish is as discoverable, accessible and useful as possible to the scientific and clinical communities we serve. Researchers increasingly navigate the literature through a range of discovery tools and platforms, so it’s important that they can quickly identify available routes to the authoritative version of record. By partnering with GetFTR, we’re helping to create a smoother journey from discovery to full-text access, supporting both the visibility of our authors’ work and the integrity of the scholarly record.”

The addition of Bioscientifica also broadens the range of specialist biomedical content available through GetFTR, which works with publishers across different disciplines and publishing models to streamline access to scholarly literature.

Heather Staines, Head of Business Development at GetFTR, added: “GetFTR brings together publishers of different sizes, disciplines and publishing models, all working towards a more connected research experience. We’re delighted to welcome Bioscientifica, whose specialist biomedical journals are an important addition to GetFTR, helping us provide researchers with a clearer picture of the trusted content available to them across their selected discovery journey.”
