The BMJ Group has selected Manuscript Central, from the scientific business of Thomson Reuters, as its online peer-review system for its new BMJ Case Reports website.
BMJ Group recently launched BMJ Case Reports dedicated solely to patient case studies. The site aims to publish a high volume of cases in all disciplines so that healthcare professionals, researchers and others can easily find clinically important information on common and rare conditions.
‘Case Reports submission is a new process for BMJ and they wanted a highly flexible, configurable system,’ said Keith MacGregor, executive vice president of Academic and Government Markets, Thomson Reuters. ‘By choosing Manuscript Central, they have made the online submission and peer-review process easy for users.’
Manuscript Central is a web-based, database-driven peer review and online submission programme for scholarly publishers.
