Sage Publishing has selected Atypon, the Silicon Valley-based publishing technology firm, to host all SAGE Journals content on its online publishing platform, Literatum.

Bob Howard, vice president for journals editorial at Sage, commented: 'We are excited about the technological power of Atypon’s Literatum platform and the opportunities for SAGE to support the scholarly community. As SAGE grows to publish more than 1,000 journals, this partnership positions us to continue to actively respond to the needs of our publishing partners and their members, our authors and editors, and our valued library customers and their patrons.'

SAGE will have direct control of publication site designs and the ability to deliver intuitive, engaging user experiences, including content tailored for each visitor.

'I speak for everyone at Atypon when I say how thrilled we are to be partnering with Sage,' said Georgios Papadopoulos, Atypon’s founder and CEO. 'We are eager to help SAGE’s team pursue new ideas and achieve their progressive publishing vision.'
