The annual conference of the Association of Subscription Agents (ASA) is to be renamed Researcher-to-Reader, with the next event scheduled for February 2016.

The host of the previous events, the ASA, is planning to disband this year, but the annual conference has always proved very popular and delegates have called for it to continue. The conference will therefore continue as a two-day meeting each February in London, starting with the 2016 event provisionally scheduled for 15 & 16 February.

The conference is being re-branded as the Researcher-to-Reader Conference, reflecting its focus on the processes and technologies that take academic content from the researcher to the reader.

Mark Carden, conference chairman, said: 'The Advisory Board and Planning Committee are currently putting together the conference programme, and there is a call for papers out at the moment. Proposals for presentations and workshops are warmly welcomed, and responses by mid September would help us to be able to announce a draft programme at the Frankfurt Book Fair.'
